The mine shaft was closed in 1957 after being intensivly used for mining silver, cobalt and uranium ore. A potential resumption is currently in discussion. As a consequence the historical pit frame had to been checked for loadings caused by modern equipment and adjacent facilities were redeveloped applying modern standards.
