An existing concrete bridge build in 1927 for service purposes had to be replaced due to large damages at the abutments. The original texture in plan and elevation was governing the new design and could be restored using original clinker bricks. The schedule was shortened by desiging partly prefabricated concrete elements curved in plan. The operational disruption was minimised.
