About us:
We are an owner-managed engineering office for structural design, firmly rooted in Leipzig for more than 35 years. As a close-knit team with short communication channels and flat hierarchies, we look after our projects personally—from the first idea through to completion. Our range of services extends from structural design across all stages, through the expert support of heritage-compliant refurbishments, to building design for new builds and existing structures, as well as the preparation of building-physics certifications.
Since 2025, Mr Dominik Förtsch has been working for our office as a design review engineer in the fields of timber and concrete/masonry construction—a further step forward in our commitment for structural design at a high professional level.
Your responsibilities:
- Independent, self-directed handling and management of projects
- Preparation of structural calculations for load-bearing structures in timber, steel, concrete and masonry construction – for new builds, existing structures and heritage-protected buildings
- Planning and contributing across all stages of structural design
- Close collaboration within the project team and coordination with other specialist disciplines
- Contributing to design review engineering
- Support with BIM-based project delivery and digital planning processes
Your profile:
- A successfully completed degree in civil (structural) engineering with a focus on structural engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in structural design in building and structural engineering, and ideally also in structural review engineering
- Sound knowledge of the relevant standards (Eurocode, DIN) and common software (e.g. Dlubal, Frilo, Tekla)
- A structured, solution-oriented way of working, strong communication skills, a sense of responsibility, and a willingness to develop your technical expertise independently
- Proficient German language skills, as required for professional communication, as well as good English skills
